In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Below this are two short and two long drawers with turned wooden knobs. It has a nicely shaped cornice and stands on square bracket feet.
It is a good quality piece with elegant Georgian proportions. The oval panels in the doors are beautiful book matched flame mahogany and the whole piece has a lovely patina. The drawers and slides are all oak lined and it has a solid panelled back. It also comes with its original working key for the cupboard doors.
It is in good condition and has been gently cleaned and polished. The interior is clean and tidy and the drawers open smoothly. There are signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks and some minor shrinkage around the door panels but no major damages or anything detrimental. There have been some minor repairs in places and some repairs to the feet but they are strong and sturdy.
