Antique Candelabra Wall Sconce Lime Wood Gilt

Description

This is a lovely 19th century Italian hand carved Limewood wall candle sconce with great detail dating from around 1860. The sconce has a great ribbon bow to the top above a carved eagle perched in front of a pair of feathered arrows. The twin candle holders scroll out below with metal scrolls decorated with carved florets beneath gilded scrolling acanthus leaves.

This is a sizeable piece at 94 cms high 34 cms wide 24 cms deep.
