Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s is characterised by bold geometric shapes, clean lines, and symmetrical arrangements of gemstones. This era favoured platinum mountings and contrasting gemstone combinations, such as vibrant emeralds paired with brilliant white diamonds.

Craftsmen typically used platinum or white gold for settings, praised for strength and cool metallic lustre. Central gemstones like natural emeralds were framed with accent diamonds, featuring hand-applied milgrain edging and geometric shoulders.

Authentic pieces feature era-appropriate gemstone cuts, along with precise hand-engraved details or milgrain borders. Genuine rings often display period hallmarks and show natural signs of wear on the under-gallery and band.

An Art Deco emerald ring serves as a refined decorative element when displayed on a velvet tray atop a contemporary dressing table or vanity unit. It introduces a subtle accent of colour alongside modern glass and metallic accessories.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding ultrasonic cleaners which can damage natural emerald inclusions. Store it separately in a fabric-lined jewellery box to prevent harder gemstones from scratching the surface.
