A good pair of late Regency period beadwork footstools in excellent condition dating from around 1830.
The condition overall is quite remarkable with the beadwork being almost perfect and the original water gilding all intact to the hardwood frames. These are upholstered in teal blue velvet with the intricate beadwork detail being entirely complete to one stool and only a couple of minuscule beads missing from the other (see close up).
The original gilding has a delightful colour and patina .
With the condition being so exceptional these are probably the best examples you will find from this period.
The stools measure 15 cms high by 38 cms in diameter.
