Lancashire Mule Chest / Mule Chest

Description

Very handsome large 18th century Lancashire mule chest / mule chest.

The lidded top opening to a deep storage well with an arrangement of drawers below, all with mahogany crossbanding and brass handles, the top two being dummies, the other five all opening to oak lined interiors, canted corners and raised on ogee feet.

With normal signs of wear and tear commensurate with age, overall this imposing chest is in good, sound condition, it is very heavy and solidly constructed with a fabulous colour and patina.
