This attractive 1920s desk lamp appears to have its original green glass shade still in situ and is in excellent condition. Its metallic surface has been unburnished as it retains an appealing antique patina. Its cleverly designed flexible brass stem makes adjustment easy and the lamp has been rewired sympathetically and safety tested. Originally its decorated brass base would have sat directly on to a surface, however, to offer more protection we have turned a piece of antique mahogany and secured it to the underside of the lamp''s base. A disc of old leather has been applied to the polished wooden base as a finishing touch. A lovely period desk lamp. Measurements below are approximate - accurate measurements will be listed shortly. The approximate height and width are the suggested measurements for the lamp when it is in a similar position to how it''s pictured in the photographs.
Whenever possible Culvertons undertake the carriage of items within London and the home counties. Professional, competitive and trusted couriers and shipping companies are engaged for deliveries for the remainder of our customers. Smaller items, when instructed, will be carefully parcelled and securely sent by the carrier.
We strive to accurately describe and illustrate our stock on the 'Selling Antiques' website. However, we understand that it is not always possible to judge from photographs how an item will look in the home or garden. For this reason, if notified within seven days from the date of delivery we offer a full refund (less any agreed carriage costs) once the item has been returned in the same condition as it left our premises.
