This quality Antique Ruby Paste and Pearl mourning pin dates to the early 1800's set in 9ct Gold.

Inside the Natural Pearl halo there is a second halo of Ruby Paste stones surrounding a glass locket.

Paste is a special type of hand cut glass which has been used since the 18th century to replicate Gemstones.

This is a quality collectable antique pin which would make a great addition to any collection.

CONDITION

This antique Mourning pin remains in great condition. There is light wear which is expected in keeping with age, including surface wear to the Ruby Paste stones. The pearls remain in excellent condition and the glass is free from any chips or scratches. The brooch looks to have been tested on the reverse which has left a darker mark. Overall a fabulous brooch ready to be re-loved.
