Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The quality is exceptional, this is an unusually petite and useful size.
The interior is lovely, with simple ebonised dividers, possibly intended for records originally, but also perfect for storing bottles and glasses.

The condition is excellent for its age, one side has some slight crazing and texturing to the lacquered finish, and there are a few small areas where the lacquered decorations have chipped off slightly. All add to the overall charm and patina, this presents extremely well. The top lifts of the base for ease of transport.
