A fine heavy quality solid silver table box with superb embossed decoration c.1885. Oblong form with rounded corners the hinged lid with superbly detailed embossed country scene draped with trees. The base with a continuous band of complimenting floral decoration. The hinged lid with locking hinges opening to reveal a clean interior, bears Hanau silver mark to the base and 925 mark. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 6.25'' long x 2.2'' deep x 1.15'' high.
