Here we have a very rare George I Oak bedside cupboard c1720. As you can see the cupboard has fantastic colour and patina. When I first saw this cabinet it looked like a converted commode but alas it has always been as it is now. There is a single piece top with great grain colour and a thumb moulded edge. There is a moulding below and three faux drawers which make the cupboard door. The door has beautiful mouldings and original brass Rosehead handles and escutcheons. There are panelled sides and the whole sits on stile legs with the feet turned from the stile and not applied later. A superb rare cupboard in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 54 cm wide 36 cm deep 67 cm high.
