Georgian silver from this era is characterised by neoclassical influences, featuring symmetrical forms, delicate bright-cut engraving, and classical motifs such as swags, urns, and medallions.

These teapots are crafted from sterling silver, typically fashioned using raising and soldering techniques, often paired with insulated handles made from wood or bone to prevent heat transfer.

Authentic pieces bear clear hallmarks indicating the assay office, the date letter, the standard mark, and the makers mark, alongside natural patination consistent with age.

An antique silver teapot can be displayed on a sideboard or mantelpiece as a focal point, contrasting effectively with contemporary minimalist furniture or adding texture to a traditional tablescape.

Antique silver should be cleaned infrequently using non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemical dips, and stored in a tarnish-resistant environment with stable humidity.
