George III Antique English Provincial Silver Teapot, Newcastle 1801

Description

An important English Provincial silver antique teapot. Made in Newcastle in 1801 by a very rarely seen silversmith, David Darling. The teapot is in great condition for its age. It has the letter “D” engraved on both cartouches, maybe for David Darling himself. It has a fruit wood handle and finial along with a full set of crisp Newcastle hallmarks underneath. It is exceptionally clean inside and would be a great item for a collector.

Weight; 455 grams or 15 ozst approximately.
