Art Deco Cut Crystal Vase.

1920 - 1940
Description

An Art Deco crystal vase dated between 1932 and 1937 created by Thomas Webb & Sons, exclusively for the Rembrandt Guild and was designed by Tom Pitchford and then hand blown by head glassblower Frank Bridgens who undertook all of the Rembrandt Guilds commissions.

The Rembrandt Guild was a high end gallery that sold pieces of exceptional quality in Paradise Street Birmingham.

The vase is signed to the base, and stands 20cm tall and 17cm wide. The design is pure art deco at its best, and the elegant mitre cuts in the crystal really catch and refract the light giving it a luminous quality. It really reminds me of the lenses in a lighthouse!

The vase is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but does have the gentle surface wear to be expected of a piece of this age. There are surface scuffs to the base where it has sat whilst on display, which I have reflected in the price. Please examine the photographs to ensure that this is something that you'd be happy with, but hopefully as the pictures show, the vase displays beautifully.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if I can provide any further information or photographs.

I offer free delivery throughout the UK, and am very happy to help with quotes for shipping abroad.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
