Chest Of Drawers Rare Regency Miniature Apprentice Secret Drawer C1820

Here we have a wonderful miniature apprentice chest of drawers c1820. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. It is certainly a chest with all bells and whistles. The chest shows off most things that are possible by the cabinet maker to have comissioned on a larger piece. The top has super colour and grain. The chest has an inverted break front with a secret drawer to the top frieze. This is something we have never seen on an apprentice chest. There are decorative mouldings to the front of the secret drawer. There are flanking columns to either side with reeded decoration. There are beautiful original glass handles and lozenge shaped bone escutcheons. The whole sits on original turned feet. A super example in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 40 cm high 30 cm wide 25 cm deep.
