Status:This item has been sold Sold by:Aramis Antiques
A late Victorian boxed set of four numbered silver napkin rings with clear hallmarks for London 1900 and makers mark for renowned London makers Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. These lovely plain and smooth silver napkin rings have double reeded rims and each one is engraved with a number from one to four. They have a good gauge of silver and together weigh approx 120gr. They are in excellent condition. Their original box (the tiny latch to lock it is lost) is lined with navy blue velvet and silk, the lid imprinted for the retailer Fairfax & Roberts, Sydney. So it appears this lovely set made the journey to Sydney and back to England at some point over the last 100 or so years.
