This Country Antique Coffer is of pegged construction and has a beautifully figured planked lid above a thumb moulded edge and figured panels. This wonderful antique chest stands on raised feet with initials carved ‘HO’ and the oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of oak wax finishing.
