Vintage 1950s 8mm Cultured Pearl Necklace with 14ct Gold Diamond Clasp

A beautiful vintage cultured pearl necklace dating from the 1950s, composed of 50 well-matched pearls measuring approximately 8mm, individually hand-knotted in the traditional manner.

The pearls have a particularly attractive creamy silver-white colour with delicate rose overtones and a lovely lustre. At 47cm long, the necklace sits elegantly around the neckline and has the substantial feel associated with good quality vintage pearl jewellery.

A particularly appealing feature is the decorative 14ct yellow gold clasp, designed with graceful interlocking curves and highlighted with two sparkling little brilliant-cut diamonds. Rather than hiding the clasp at the back, it can be positioned at the side or front of the neck to become an attractive feature of the necklace itself.
