Antique Small Early 20th Century Open Bookcase | Carved Frieze

Antique early 20th century open bookcase, a small and well-proportioned piece of good quality, with neat proportions that suit smaller rooms and alcoves.

The bookcase has two adjustable shelves, giving three generous open spaces for books and display.

The shaped top has a reeded moulded edge with a fine incised line border, over a frieze carved with a row of lunettes. The front corners are reeded, and the bookcase stands on a moulded base with turned bun feet.

The timber has an attractive grain and a deep, rich dark colour with a warm patina.

Presented in good condition commensurate with age. A very desirable and practical small bookcase, a perfect addition to any study, living room, bedroom or hallway.
