Description

This exquisite cased set of six Mid Century silver & guilloche enamel coffee spoons is dated Birmingham 1957. Coffee 'bean knop' spoons were very popular from the twenties to the sixties and this cased set is a lovely example. The bowls decorated in stunning guilloche enamel colours .The back of the spoon plain silver, the fully hallmarked stems with black coffee bean terminals.

Fitted in the original Morocco leather case, the interior lined with cream satin and black velvet.

Hallmarks:

H.C.D for Henry Clifford Davis.

Lion Passant.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter 'H' for 1957.

Dimensions:

Length: 8cm / 3.2 inches.
