The Edwardian era, spanning the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by light, airy designs often featuring platinum and yellow gold set with diamonds, heavily influenced by Garland style motifs.

Jewellery from this period frequently utilised 18-carat yellow gold, platinum-topped gold settings to enhance diamond brilliance, and old European or old mine cut diamonds.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-cut gemstones, specific British hallmark stamps corresponding to the early 20th century, and intricate millegrain detailing along the metal edges.

Antique rings can be worn as standalone statement pieces or stacked with contemporary plain bands to create a balanced contrast between historic craftsmanship and modern minimalism.

Clean gently using warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners which can damage delicate historic settings and loosen old-cut stones.
