Edwardian jewellery is characterised by light, airy motifs, often utilising platinum and yellow gold settings with intricate filigree work and diamond accents to create a delicate, lace-like effect.

Master jewellers of the period predominantly used 18ct yellow gold, silver-topped gold, and platinum, frequently pairing them with hand-cut rose cut or old mine cut diamonds.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-cut gemstones with unique facets, makers or assay marks characteristic of the period, and construction techniques consistent with early 20th-century goldsmithing.

Antique jewellery pairs exceptionally well with contemporary minimalist attire, allowing the historic craftsmanship and subtle sparkle of rose cut stones to serve as a focal point.

Clean pieces gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding harsh chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners which can damage delicate settings and softer stones.
