Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Edwardian period, spanning from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by lighter, more delicate designs often influenced by eighteenth-century motifs, moving away from heavy Victorian aesthetics.

Antique thimbles were commonly manufactured from sterling silver, gold, brass, or steel, utilizing techniques such as stamping, hand-engraving, and indented dimpling to secure sewing needles.

Authentic pieces typically feature a series of stamped assay office marks, makers marks, and standard marks, such as the lion passant for sterling silver and the three sheaves for Chester.

Small antique items can be displayed inside glass cabinets, on small mantelpieces, or curated on desktop trays alongside modern books and stationery.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using a specialized non-abrasive silver cloth to preserve the patina, avoiding harsh liquid dips that can damage delicate engraved details.
