Mary Gregory glass refers to glassware decorated with white enamel silhouettes, typically depicting children in outdoor settings, popularised during the late Victorian era in the late 19th century.

These pieces typically combine coloured or clear blown glass bodies with mounts, collars, and hinged lids crafted from sterling silver or other precious metals.

Authentic pieces feature finely hand-painted white enamel with a slightly raised texture, often fired onto coloured glass bodies such as green, cranberry, or blue, paired with period hallmarks or hardware.

This type of item can be displayed on a mirrored tray atop a dressing table, within a glass-fronted cabinet, or styled on a mantelpiece to add a touch of historic colour and craftsmanship.

Clean glass gently with a soft, damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or submerging silver-mounted pieces in water to protect the delicate enamel work and metal finishes.
