The bullet teapot style features a spherical or globular body, often resting on a footed base, which became particularly popular in early 18th-century Britain and was later revived during the Georgian and Edwardian eras.

These pieces are typically fabricated from sterling silver using hand-raising or spinning techniques, often featuring insulated handles and finials crafted from materials such as wood, bone, or ivory to prevent heat transfer.

Authentic pieces feature a series of stamped marks usually including a makers mark, a standard mark indicating silver fineness (such as the lion passant for sterling), a assay office mark, and a date letter corresponding to the year of assay.

An antique silver teapot can be displayed on a sideboard or within a glass-fronted cabinet to introduce polished metallic textures and historical character to contemporary living spaces.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using a non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth to maintain the patina, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage soldered joints and wooden elements.
