FAQs

Georgian design, spanning the 18th century, is characterised by classical symmetry, classical architectural proportions, and an emphasis on formal elegance influenced by Palladianism.

Period lamps and architectural ornaments were traditionally fashioned from dense hardwoods such as mahogany, walnut, and oak, frequently paired with brass hardware and silk or linen shades.

Authentication involves examining the wood grain, patination, joinery methods, and wiring components, as vintage pieces often display characteristic wear patterns and period-appropriate fasteners.

Pairing classical wooden lamps with modern minimalist furniture creates a balanced aesthetic, adding warmth, verticality, and texture to neutral living spaces.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply microcrystalline wax periodically to protect the timber finish without causing moisture damage.
