Description

A beautiful solid silver Indian table box. It is marked GOOPEE NATH DUTT BHOWANIPORE CALCUTTA and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1890. It has been beautifully hand made being embossed and chased with people and animals. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (11.8cm) long by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) wide by 1.5 inches (3.8cm) tall and weighs 162 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example.
