Description

A Walker and Hall made silver hip flask. It’s an unusual unique example because this particular hip flask was presented by Stamford Bridge Stadium LTD known as Chelsea FC which is engraved on the front. The silver dates to George V 1918 Sheffield. It has a removable bottom silver sleeve and a corked screw lid to the top which works well on it’s hinge. The overall condition concludes a few bumps and nicks but genuinely in a good state and a prime example.

Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Pocket-sized containers for spirits evolved from medieval pewter flasks and gained popularity in the 18th and 19th centuries among gentry, hunters, and travellers requiring discrete portable refreshment.

Authentic period pieces are typically fabricated from heavy-gauge sterling silver or plate, featuring soldered seams, captive screw caps, and hand-engraved or polished surfaces.

Authenticity is verified through clear makers marks, city assay offices, and date letters stamped into the metal, alongside traditional wear patterns and hand-chased inscriptions.

Such metallic accessories add historical character when displayed on a bar cart, bookshelf, or desk as part of a curated display of antiquities.

Maintenance requires occasional cleaning with a specialist silver cloth to prevent tarnish, avoiding harsh abrasives, and storing in a dry environment.
