Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

George V silver cruet sets date from the early 20th century, specifically between 1910 and 1936, reflecting traditional British dining customs and high standards of silversmithing from that era.

These sets are crafted from sterling silver, often featuring hand-pierced motifs, cast elements, and fitted cobalt blue glass liners for the open salt cellars to prevent corrosion from the salt.

Authenticity is verified by checking for British hallmarks stamped directly onto the silver, which typically include the assay office mark, the standard mark for sterling silver, and the makers mark.

This item can be displayed on a sideboard top, dining table centre, or within a glass-fronted cabinet to add a reflective metallic accent and historical context to contemporary dining spaces.

Preservation involves regular, gentle dusting and occasional cleaning with a specialist non-abrasive silver polish to remove tarnish, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage glass inserts or hallmarks.
