Description

A very pretty German solid silver snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark and the 800 standard mark. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly designed being embossed depicting a two cherubs. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, a couple of tiny faint marks to the base - see final photo. The inside is clean and the lid closes flush. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.6cm) across by 1 inch (2.2cms) tall and weighs 52 grams. A stunning example.
