Technical Description
A very elegant 18th century wine glass dating to c1750. It has a trumpet bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with a shoulder knop. Conical foot.
If you consider the solid section at the base of the bowl as part of the stem, then the glass should be classified as having a composite stem. If, however you consider it as a extension of the bowl, then it’s an air twist stem. Either way it’s a very elegant example.
