Description

This is a smart antique silver plated and glass biscuit box. The stand sits on three paw feet below two roundels. Bead mounted and engraved with arrows. This base has a raised plain gallery that retains the original glass body. The glass is engraved around with leaves and flowers, stars and bows. The silver plated mounted hinged lid is engraved with swags and ribbons with bows. Simple bead mounted finial. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Mappin & Webb of London and Sheffield stamped underneath. This has been resilvered.

Height excluding finial: 15.25 cm (6")

Diameter at base: 17.25 cm (7")
