Imari porcelain originates from the Arita region of Japan, historically exported via the port of Imari, known for its distinctive underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron-red decoration. During the 19th and 20th centuries, many antique Imari vessels were fitted with metal mounts and electrical components to function as decorative table lamps.
