Technical Description

A pair of 19th century cut and engraved glass decanters. Original lapidary stoppers with flute cut necks above cross cut diamonds with geometric engraved panels and deep flute cuts to the corners. Star cut base.

Date & Origin

England, c1880. Period of Victoria.

Condition

Age-related wear as shown, minor grazing to a few of the diamonds, no chips cracks or restoration, clean and clear.

Height: 28cm Diameter: 8.5cm

Weight

1625 grams combined

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge began on the 3rd of January 1870.
