Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco glassware from the 1930s is characterised by clean architectural forms, stylized geometric patterns, and naturalistic motifs such as marine life or flora. Designers shifted away from heavy Victorian cut glass toward simple silhouettes and subtle surface engravings.

Pieces were typically mouth-blown using high-clarity lead crystal, which allowed for precise optical clarity and deep refractive qualities. The decorative patterns were subsequently applied using acid-etching or copper wheel-engraving techniques.

Authentic pieces frequently bear an acid-etched mark on the underside of the base featuring Keith Murrays signature alongside the maker name. Inspection of the glass weight, sharpness of the engraving, and absence of modern mould seams also helps confirm period authenticity.

Position the vase on a sideboard, console, or window sill where natural light can highlight the engraved details and glass transparency. Pairing it with minimal modern furnishings allows the geometric form and subtle engraving to serve as a focal point.

Wash the crystal by hand using lukewarm water and mild liquid detergent, using a soft cloth to avoid scratching. Avoid automatic dishwashers and sudden temperature changes, which can induce thermal shock and cause cracking.
