Description

Superb, early 17th century marriage chest in oak , walnut and exotic woods, inlaid with birds and flowers. Once unlocked, the end panel slides up to reveal two secret drawers. Inside the candle box the front slides up to reveal three more secret drawers. When we purchased this chest it was locked but we found many interesting documents which will stay with the chest.

Period feet not original

Origin: Probably Dutch Renaissance with its with parquet floor inlay and tulip motif
