Victorian Cut Glass Perfume Bottle C1870

Description

Technical Description 

A fine 19th century cut glass perfume bottle. Original internal stopper with external metal screwn top. Notch cut sides with diamond and cross cut diamonds to front and back. Polished base.

Date & Origin 

England c1870 Period of Victoria

Condition

Excellent, no chips or cracks, clean and clear. Internmal glass stopper (which fits well is probably a replacement) and has some small nicks

Dimensions 

Height: 7m Width: 5cm Depth :2cm.

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time Japan began using the Gregorian calendar on the first of January 1873.
