A fabulous rare Victorian witches heart diamond set bracelet with a central rock crystal cabochon. This wonderful bracelet has a witches heart which is a heart with curved bottom to one side which were originally worn as protective amulets to protect against evil eyes and from witches stealing milk or harming newborns but the ones the 18th Century took on another meaning the token implied the giver had become ‘bewitched to fall in love’ with the recipient. They are wonderful and rare This antique talisman is easy to wear and rocks in many ways, its rock crystal cabochon is beautiful as are the rose cuts all set in 15ct, a wonderful piece It is a beautiful original piece and the gold tests as 15ct and set with beautiful rose cut diamonds. It is 18cms long and in lovely antique condition.
