A very unusual early 19th-century glass with a bucket bowl. The bowl has been engraved with hops and barley with a Jay bird and the initials FPB. Sits on an angular knop stem above a conical foot with a polished pontil.
Comments
However, the glass is traditionally not large enough for Ale and was probably used for some other strong malted barley liqueur.

England, c1800. Period of George III.
Condition
No chips cracks or restoration, the foot rim has had a polish.
