Technical Description

An excellent late 18th-century wine glass. It has a large round funnel bowl engraved with Masonic symbols including the Moon, Sun, Stars, Columns, and the initials JA. Slice cut stem with swelling knop above a conical foto with polished pontil.

Date & Origin

England, c1790-1800. Period of George III.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time of The American Revolutionary War, more commonly known as the American War of Independence.
