Exhibit Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
A fantastic set of three amethyst glass serving bottles dating to around 1830. Copper/white metal and cork stoppers. Very unusual string rims and large polished pontils.
Comments
Sets of three are exceptionally rare and it's been four years since we last had a pair.

Date & Origin
England, c1830. Period of Victoria.
Condition
Excellent, no chips cracks, or restoration. Two of the stoppers have parts of the cork missing (see pictures), however, serving bottles from this period, as a general rule, didn't have stoppers, so they are additions from the same period...and we think they look very elegant. No major scratches and clean and clear interrnally.
Dimensions
Height: 31cm Diameter: 8.5cm.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown approx 30 years before Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th American President.
