Imari porcelain refers to Japanese ceramic wares produced in the Arita region of Hizen province and shipped via the port of Imari. Developed in the seventeenth century, this style is renowned for its signature colour scheme combining underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze iron red, green enamels, and gilding.
