A fine 18th century cut glass rummer. A capacious incurved bucker bowl with an annular knop stem above a conical foot.

Date & Origin

England, c1760. Period of George III

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.

Height: 12.1cm Rim diameter: 7.5cm, Foot diameter: 6.5cm.

Historical Relevance

Jupiter Hammon, who was an African American slave, composes poetry broadside "An Evening Thought" which was the 1st poetry published by an African American in 1761
