Exhibit Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
18th and 19th-century drinking glasses are by far our most popular items, and justifiably so.

A mid 19th century glass butter cooler with its original lid and stand. The lid has a facet cut finial above a field of graduated diamond cuts. The graduated diamonds continue down the curved bowl and again into the stand rim which is finished with a large star cut.

The workmanship is truly outstanding.

There is a single-chip to stand rim as shown. The lid, bowl, and remainder of the stand we would describe as near pristine with light wear to the base stand as expected. Whoever originally owned this cooler took great care of it.
