Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Bidjar kilims originate from northwest Persia and are woven predominantly by Kurdish tribal weavers. They are characterized by a flatweave construction, durable wool structure, and geometric diamond medallions flanked by repeating motif borders.

Authentic Persian kilims are handwoven using natural wool yarns for both the warp and weft. The wool is dyed using vegetable-derived dyes to achieve deep red, indigo blue, saffron yellow, and terracotta shades.

Authentic flatweaves feature a slit-weave technique where colour changes leave small vertical gaps along pattern edges. They also exhibit natural colour variations, known as abrash, and display a mirrored design on both sides of the textile.

A red flatweave kilim introduces colour and pattern to neutral spaces when layered over polished concrete, oak floorboards, or placed beneath a low-profile sofa to anchor a modern living area.

Vacuum using suction only without a rotating brush to prevent thread pull. Clean liquid spills immediately by blotting with cold water and mild detergent, and rotate the carpet regularly to ensure even wear.
