Technical Description

Magnum decanters from the 18th and 19th centuries are exceptionally rare and with the engraved Scottish Thistles, it's rather special to find it in its homeland.

A large original hollow slice cut stopper with engraved thistles. Wide poring rim with a deep slice cut neck above a wide thistle engraved body with star-cut base.

Holds almost 3 x 750ml bottles to the base of the neck...

Date & Origin

England or Scotland, c1880. Period of Victoria.

Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration.
