Rare 19th Century Nailsea Glass Flask C1830

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Exhibit Antiques

Technical Description

A very rare example of a 19th century Nailsea glass flask decorated with pulled up red white and blue trailing, the blue moving into darker shades of amethyst as it moves down the flask. A rough pontil completes the piece with its original cork stopper. These flasks are popular and we often sell fine examples...however, the vibrant colour change and combination on this particular flask is very rare and we would say that this is probably the best example we have ever had.
