Georgian Facet Cut Glass Sweetmeat C1780

Technical Description
 
A fine 18th century facet cut glass sweetmeat with a flared ogee bowl. Scallop cut rim with scale facet cuts below and two rows of printie cuts. Scale facet cut stem with a large central swelling knop and a dommed facet cut foot with a snapped pontil.

Excellent, age-related wear, a couple of small chips to the scallop cut rim as expected on a sweekmeat.

Hand-blown around the time the Dutch East India Company dissolved on the 31st of December 1799.
