A stunning 19th century French silvered spelter figural lamp with a glass shell shade. It is mounted on a shaped sienna marble base. It is signed Aug Moreau (1834 - 1917) The base with a titled plaque '' Amphitrite'' par Aug Moreau, Salon des Beau Arts 1897''.''Amphitrite'' the goddess of the sea, wife of the god Poseidon.This wonderful sculpture is in very good condition with just slight wear as in keeping with its age.It is a fantastic size.We are based in North Dorset, England and have been trading in antiques and decorative art for over 30 years.
