Technical Description
Six early 19th-century port or gin glasses. They have conical slice cut bowls above hollow slice cut stems. Conical feet with polished pontils.
Historical Relevance
London''s Albert Hall in South Kensington and was completed in 1871 in commemoration of Queen Victoria''s husband Prince Albert. Designed by George Scott, it was intended to promote the period''s arts and sciences, and commonly performed musical concerts. It is fronted by the Albert Memorial and close to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
