The Veronese vase was originally designed in 1921 by painter Vittorio Zecchin for Venini, inspired by a vessel depicted in Paolo Veroneses 16th-century painting The Annunciation. The design bridged Renaissance classical proportions with 20th-century Venetian glassblowing techniques.
